Extinguisher Training

PWFP Fire Safety is here to ensure your staff and business are compliant with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 by offering an indepth course on fire safety and extinguisher training.

The course is designed to give your staff an understanding of the risks associated with workplace fires, while giving them the ability to assess whether to evacuate or fight the fire. All participants use at least one fire extinguisher on a fire provided by our specifically designed trailer. They are given a theory test based on information provided during the course. On completion they are issued a fire safety training course certificate valid for two years.

Course Content:

  • Introduction
  • Fire safety theory
  • Fire extinguisher theory including an interactive lecture on human reaction, fire science and fire classification, as well as fire extinguisher identification and evacuation requirements
  • Live fire extinguisher training and use
  • Home safety theory
  • Question and Answer time
  • Assessment

Duration: 

Course length is around one and a half hours depending on the size of the group. Group size minimum is 10 people and maximum is 25. For larger groups we can run courses back to back.

Cost: 

$75 plus gst per person or minimum course cost of $750 plus gst (including all training course resources).

We require:  

All we need you to supply is a suitable room with seating for all participants and power supply for visual presentation, as well as a suitable open area for practical extinguisher use.
