Warden Training

Our Warden Training is designed to compliment your Fire Evacuation Scheme by ensuring your staff are correctly trained on how to implement your procedure in the event of an emergency.

It is the role of the Head and Floor Wardens to have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and expected actions in the event of an emergency affecting the building and its occupants until the fire service arrives.  

This course not only provides them with essential warden safety knowledge but also includes extinguisher training and the skills necessary to evaluate other emergency situations such as gas leaks, spills and earthquakes.

They are given a theory test based on information provided during the course and on completion are issued a Warden Training Course Certificate valid for one year.

Course Content: 

  • Fire safety and extinguisher training
  • Warden role introduction
  • Site specific evacuation procedures and protocols
  • Warden evacuation guidelines
  • Discussion on safety equipment and building monitoring checks
  • Site walk-around and inspection
  • Question and answer time
  • Assessment

 

Duration: 

Course length is around 3 hours depending on size of site and group. Group size maximum is 15. For larger groups we can run courses back to back.


Cost:

$150 plus gst per person or minimum course cost of $900 plus gst (including all training course resources and local travel).


We require:

All we need you to supply is a suitable room with seating for all participants and power supply for visual presentation, as well as a suitable open area for practical extinguisher use.
